Albea Veterinary
In three years we implemented a new treatment against the Demodex Canis, rather than emerging disease, entrenched in the population of many of our pets.
The disease is caused by a parasite, Demodex canis, acquired from maternal infection during the first 3 days of life. Unlike other "scabs" there is no possibility of horizontal spread of zoonoses.
The biggest problem is the recurrence of signs in immunosuppression. In which the parasite grows and expresses the outward signs of alopesicas areas without pruritus.
years ago
therapy consisted of bathrooms based solutions oil and in certain cases the improvement of bacterial infections. Subsequently began treatment with ivermectin orally, together or not toilets ectoparatisidas substances (such as Ectodex solution).
Currently, and for three years in Veterinary Albea we have seen in hundreds of cases of early recovery and almost no relapses with a new protocol.
The improvements are so fast that instead of scrapings from control (dictate where we end the therapy when there are two consecutive negative) rather than monthly, or bi, we set the weekly.
Recently we were making A review of cases to be presented in statistical format that you may prove the speed of recovery.
If you are a veterinarian and want to know our protocol contact us, we avoid hanging up the protocol on the web to avoid treatment by non-veterinary professionals.
In the photos you can observe a severe case of demodex mange, and complete resolution in less than two months from diagnosis. The case had previously been treated with conventional therapy without response to treatment.
Many thanks. A greeting.
